Matt Green is a fifth-year rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He is the rabbinic intern at Congregation Beth Elohim, in which capacity he also directs the Brooklyn Jews community. A native Michigander, Matt graduated from the University of Michigan, with a degree in History. He stayed in Ann Arbor as a Berman Fellow at Michigan Hillel before entering rabbinical school. This past year, Matt won the Be Wise Entrepreneurship Competition at HUC-JIR for his project: The Grindr Shabbat Initiative, wherein he applied the popular dating app to Jewish organizing and “queeruv.”
Matt lives in Crown Heights.

Sarah Grabiner is a fourth-year cantorial student at HUC-JIR's Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music, and is the cantorial intern at CBE. Born and raised in London, Sarah received honors in Hebrew and Aramaic at Oxford University, and worked at both Finchley Reform Synagogue and the British Reform Movement before starting cantorial school.
