Rabbi Matt Green is the Associate Rabbi of Congregation Beth Elohim. In 2015, he joined the CBE team as an intern while still a rabbinic student and in 2018, he became assistant rabbi in a full time capacity. Rabbi Green is also the director of Brooklyn Jews, CBE’s community of young Brooklynites looking for connection to Jewish culture, time and ritual.

A born and raised Michigander, Matt holds a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where he was also a Berman Fellow at Michigan Hillel. He was ordained by Hebrew Union College in New York where he was a Tisch Fellow. In 2018 he was named one of the New York Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36,” leaders to watch, and in 2019 he was the emcee of the URJ’s Biennial conference of 5,000 Reform Jews.

Matt sits on the Education Advisory Board of OneTable and co-founded the New Jewish Culture Fellowship in 2018, recently hailed by Artforum as a leader "toward an alternative for Jewish art."
