Rabbi Matt Green (he/him) is the Associate Rabbi of Congregation Beth Elohim, the co-founder of the New Jewish Culture Fellowship and the Creative Director and Co-Founder of the Center for New Jewish Culture. He joined CBE in 2015 as a rabbinic intern, and joined the team full-time following his ordination.

A born and raised Michigander, Matt holds a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where he was also a Berman Fellow at Michigan Hillel. He was ordained by Hebrew Union College in New York where he was a Tisch Fellow. Matt sits on the Education Advisory Board of OneTable and was an Atra Vanguard Fellow in the 2023-2024 cohort. In 2018 he was named one of the New York Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36,” leaders to watch,

Assistant Director/Program Manager??

Rose Eilenberg (she/her) is the Event Manager at Congregation Beth Elohim. A Brooklyn native, Rose spent 8 years living in Pittsburgh working on a PhD in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and building Jewish community as a Moshe House resident. She decided to leave engineering behind for the joys of Jewish professional life. In her free time, Rose enjoys training & teaching partner acrobatics, hiking, cooking, reading, and taking care of her many houseplants.

Rabbinic Intern

Ethan Blake (he/him) is a fourth-year rabbinical student and Tisch Fellow at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Ethan grew up in the great unsung suburb of West Orange, NJ. He graduated from Brown University with a concentration in Urban Studies, and worked as a teacher, writer, chef, and shul impresario before commencing his rabbinical studies. He is the founder of 16 Cubits, a sustainable architecture Sukkot festival, and a number of other creative Jewish enterprises.
