Brooklyn Jews Shabbat

Join us for another Brooklyn Jews Shabbat at CBE. We’ll gather for a l’chaim at 6pm, followed by Kabbalat Shabbat 6:30-7:45, with dinner and drinks to follow.

During dinner, join us for an intimate conversation about the upcoming Census, pairing Jewish texts with the insights of a policy expert, Rebecca Gluskin.

Rebecca Gluskin is the Chief Statistician and Deputy Director of Measure of America at the Social Science Research Council here in Brooklyn. She leads the quantitative research and analysis efforts for Measure of America, which provides easy-to-use yet methodologically sound tools for understanding the distribution of well-being and opportunity in America and stimulating fact-based dialogue about issues we all care about: health, education, and living standards.

Previously, she has served as the Director of Data Analysis and Data Services in the Bureau of Informatics at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She conducted post-doctoral work at Boston Children’s Hospital with the HealthMap.org. Rebecca holds a BS in Environmental Science from McGill University, an MS in Toxicology, and PhD in Epidemiology both from New York University.
